May 25, 2015 - diagnosis day

On May 25, 2015, the Playdon world got thrust down a road none of us want to travel. However, they have us, their wonderful network of friends and family to travel that road with them.
Hailey had been experiencing fevers and leg pain intermittently for the last month or so. She had gone to the doctors a couple weeks ago, but it isn't uncommon for kids to have various fevers and growing pains. However, when her fever was still persisting, Shelley took her again to the doctors. The doctor decided to start running the basic tests like blood work and urine, and x-ray. That evening around dinner time, our family doctor called Mike and Shelley at home, to let them know that there was some unusual blood work, and that they should pack an overnight bag and head into Children's Hospital (aren't we blessed to be driving distance to a fantastic speciality hospital?).
They got registered in the hospital, and was admitted through the Emergency Department. The hospital took their own blood work to collaborate the reports from the G.P. By around midnight - o'clock, they were officially admitted to the Oncology Unit, with a diagnosis of leukemia.
